    Five FTD labs funded on 2-year awards

    Harper (Harvard), Wilfling (Max Planck), Walther (Sloan Kettering), Huang (WashU), and Herz (UT Southwestern) — all converging on lysosomal / endolysosomal dysfunction in FTD.

  2. Apr 2026

    First in-person network meeting (San Francisco)

    All five labs presented; two prospective PIs (Xuejun Jiang, Çağla Eroğlu) pitched; strategy sessions on translating science to therapeutics and building a self-sustaining nonprofit.

  3. Ongoing

    Shared platforms tie the network together

    Walther's lipidomics and Wilfling's cryo-ET support projects across all five labs, with a track record of joint publications.

  4. Jul 2026

    Research Steering Committee established

    Roy Parker, Hubert Chen, Bob Farese and Joachim Herz now conduct an initial review of investigator proposals before they reach the SAB. Seven candidates are in the pipeline.
